Beginning in 2014, along with Temple Beth Or, I have been organizing the Handmade Hanukkah Market. The Market is a collection of about 30 Jewish artisans from around the Triangle area who get together and sell their handmade goods and crafts during a spectacular one-day event near the holidays.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, NC.

Why Should I Attend the Handmade Hanukkah Market?
There are dozens of Christmas-themed shopping events in November and December (shout out to Holly Days where I went to high school!), but very few that feature local Jewish artisans or art and crafts that are all handmade. This holiday fair is also a fundraiser for Temple Beth Or in Raleigh (all of the vendors donate a percentage of their sales from the day to the temple).
While it is called a “Hanukkah Market” and you will find lots of gifts for Hanukkah, there are also a variety of other things for sale that can be given for all types of holidays and celebrations.
Everyone is welcome and the event is free to attend!
